Inspiring Change Interview with Kristy Kilcup

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of being interviewed by a long time friend and former trainer Kristy Kilcup, founder of Version of You 2.0. I was the first interview in her Inspiring Change series, which she started as a way to inspire clients that might be feeling stuck in various areas of their lives.

Kristy has watched my health journey and all the obstacles I have faced, especially in the last few years, and reached out to me to see if I would be interested in sharing some of the mindset tools I used to not only help me through some incredibly difficult times, but also how I was able to remain positive in the face of some life changing and often scary moments.

I haven’t written about my challenges much on my blog in five years, however I have been sharing on Instagram and Facebook and moving forward will share more about what I have gone through and hopefully share techniques that you could use to help you through difficult times in your lives.

In addition to talking about some of my story, I shared a concept I call a Reality Check. About a week before this interview I had what I can only call a download message where I saw this diagram that pulled many teachings I have learned over the years into this one easy to understand model. Its a type of check and balance that helps you live more in the present moment; with cues to help you identify if you are living too much in the future or the past as well as a gauge on emotional intelligence (EQ).
